I like building things, experimenting, and understanding how they work.
## now
Working on backend systems and internal tooling — mostly APIs, data pipelines and the unglamorous plumbing that keeps a product predictable.
Lately I've also been experimenting with AI tools to make the way I work faster, more effective, and occasionally better in ways I didn't expect.
Outside of work I'm writing more, shipping smaller, and trying to finish the things I start.
## background
I started with scripts that automated things nobody asked me to automate, and never really stopped. Since then: a few products, a couple of teams, and a long apprenticeship in reading other people's code.
## interests
I've always been interested in computers and technology beyond the work itself. These days, part of that curiosity lives in a small homelab where I experiment with self-hosting, infrastructure, networking, and whatever seems worth breaking and rebuilding.
